Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Am/Can CH. CHESHIRE'S THE LION KING
May 12, 1994 - Dec. 15, 2008

We are sad to report the passing of another Champion liver boy - the fourth in 2008.  Leo was a litter brother to George, listed below; by Ch. Cheshire N'Sunset's Spellbound (Joey) out of Ch. Del Rey's Wannabe A Star (Betsey). Leo spent the last 10 years being spoiled rotten by Anne and Steve Bethke of Prior Lake, MN.  Leo sired one litter - whelped by Sharron Podelski in MI - out of which came a UD daughter named Annie.

Here is a piece of Steve & Anne's e-mail from Tuesday; "We made the difficult decision to let him pass on to his next adventure on a high note and he left us in Anne's arms with us telling him how much we loved him.  He was the best dog ever."

GEORGE aka CH. Berkeley's Smoke Chaser

May 12, 1994 - July 21, 2008

We are also very sad to report the passing of Champion George who was the son of Joey, Ch. Cheshire N'Sunset's Spellbound.  George was owned and loved by the Grace & Randy Peterson family of St. Paul, MN.  Here is part of Grace's recent e-mail, "Just to let you know that George passed away peacefully on 7/21/2008.  He was such a great dog....very patient with the kids....can get along with just about any dal....even with his grumpy litter mate Shadow. We miss him very much.  He was 14 years and 3 months."
